MULTIPLICITIES
Reflections upon urban experiences and the issue of representation

In the summer 2005, transitpassengers travelled to meet artists in Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Georgia and Turkey. We met a whole bunch of fascinating people: painters, sculptors, photographers, architects, musicians, sound and video artists, graphic designers, fashion designers and so on.

We are currently planning, together with some of these artists, the project ‘Multiplicities’, an exploration of our common urban lives. Through a broad range of media, feelings and perspectives, we want to challenge the existing representations of Lahore, Bishkek, Tashkent, Tehran, Tbilisi and Istanbul and to a larger extent, question the issue of representation. - Read more, or download the brochure in two parts: PDF 1 & PDF 2
